 | Chip you seem to be glossing over the fact that African slaves were sold to the Dutch by other Africans whose practice at the time would have been to kill all those they had conquered. These people suddenly had value as slaves so their lives were spared. Oddly enough most white people managed to enrich themselves without the use of slaves as there were always Italians and the Irish to abuse for such purposes.
I have never owned a slave. I have no guilt in the matter whatsoever. |
